Right Ventricular Biopsy (or) Endomyocardial Biopsy
Right Ventricular Biopsy is performed as a diagnostic procedure to ascertain the cause for damage of the heart, particularly in patients with weak heart. This procedure is done under local anaesthesia via keyhole in the groin. This is also performed in patients who had undergone heart transplant to assess the status of the transplanted heart. This is a simple procedure done under local anaesthsia through a small tube in the groin.
